Akantha - Rough Development

Gave another character from Kaleo's Tale a good makeover and a new name. Akantha is the daughter of the Raashka cheif, with a proud and war-like spirit. Her charm intimidates men and many have fallen for her, but she despises the idea of giving her hand to anyone, despite her father's wishes.

The Raashka tribe makes its home in the tropical region of Duskfall, where many dangerous creatures lurk in the dark jungles. They live in a fortified village in the heart of the rainforest, so no wild beasts or invaders can get in. The Raashka's reputation as a war tribe is their pride and joy, as they are the most skilled and cunning warriors in Etheria. The females of the tribe are more aggressive and faster than the males, making them the primary hunters and decision makers of the village, while the males build huts, make weapons, and hold matches of strength to win a chance to be chosen by a mate. Since the unfortunate death of the chief's wife, Akantha has been supporting her father's reign.

The Raashka have a head similar to a hyena's with a brightly colored muzzle, which is more colorful and decorative in male individuals. Males also have a larger mane, though both genders sport one, and males tend to be heavily muscled. A Raashka's pelt can range from a dark brown to a tabby blond, and stripes and patches are more prevalent on the neck, head, and limbs than anywhere else on the body. They are fast runners and good climbers, and possess long tails for balance up in the trees or on the ground. They have excellent hearing and sight, thanks to their large ears and eyes, and are well equipped for hunting in the darkness.
