So my Urban Missions Training Program does something called a Treasure Hunt every Tuesday, where we pray for prophetic clues to find God’s treasure, aka the people He wants us to pray for. This time, we felt called to the Maplewood Mall.  My friend Kristin was my partner today. While we were praying, I got a bunch of crazy random things, including a shield, Fin from the show "Adventure Time", plants, a finger, and a big curly hairdo. Kristin got a hat, a broken heart, and curly hair as well. After we split up into our buddy system, Kristin and I found a stand for Invisible Shield (the thing you put over your phone to protect the screen) and saw the shield on the logo, so we waited for someone to come by. The owner happened to walk over, so we asked if we could pray for her. She accepted prayer for her business and her family, as well as hugs. :3
Afterwards, Kristin and I decided to go into Spencer's, since I overheard our friend Christian talking about how he thought he was supposed to go there after we were praying, plus Spencer's has some Adventure Time apparel. We walk in and IN PLAIN SIGHT there is a Fin hat. (Man I wish I'd taken a picture of that hat.) One of the staff waved at us and seemed friendly; he was putting some piercings in display cases so we figured he might be busy. By the check-out, Kristin notices a keychain of a broken, stitched-up heart!!! So we know we're supposed to pray in there (especially since it's such a perverted store), and I feel like we should pray for the guy who welcomed us in, but we both felt a guy should pray with us.
So we called up Christian and waited for him to come. After a while, we spotted him and Uriah walking past, and ran up to catch them, asking them to come to Spencer's with us to pray for the guy. Christian tells us, though, that he'd gone in there earlier and felt it wasn't the right time. So we walked back down to Spencer's wondering what to do next. Then, Christian came running up to us and told us that two of his clues were red shoes and blond hair, and he also felt there was something having to do with girls (at the time he came into the store, there were no girls, only guys). Kristin was wearing red shoes, and I have blond hair, and we're both girls! So he felt God was telling him to come with us to Spencer's. God bless him for his obedience!! C:
So we all walked back into Spencer's together and huddled together in a hesitant group wondering if we should pray for the guy or the store or what. Then we turn around and there is a FINGER keychain. A severed finger keychain. Who would have known?? So, extra confirmation we had to pray there!! Then Christian noticed the guy putting piercings in the display case and realized piercings was one of his clues! So we explained our treasure hunt to him asked to pray for him, and he accepted prayer for him and for his friend, who had breast cancer. Afterwards, we claimed authority over all the spirits of perversion and lust and all that nasty junk. :D
Then we went through Sears in search of Christian's partner Uriah. We came out on the bottom floor and I noticed the plants that were in the little hangout area with the couches and whatnot. We looked around and Kristin and I noticed a girl with poofy, curly hair, but not an afro as I had put down as a word. So we left, but as we were walking, I felt a tug in the other direction. So we went back! We approached the girl and her mom and explained the treasure hunt to them, and they accepted general prayer. They were very appreciative and looked very blessed afterwards. I was pretty happy too!! X3

I just want to say GOD is SOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!! And so were Kristin and Christian and everybody else today!! Changing the world one adventure at a time!!~♥
A testimony from one of our many wonderful outreach adventures in the (Christian) Urban Missions Training Program in Saint Paul (or in this case, Maplewood). I've witnessed on many accounts that prophecy is a valid and valuable tool of God and ministry, and I love seeing this crazy stuff happen. I am also glad God wanted us to go to the mall in this -15 degree weather; I'm tired of being cold!! :iconitscoldplz:

Sounds like a lot of fun, and reminds me of the signs God leaves for me everywhere. This is actually part of one, as it is the 4th time I've run into the name "Spencer" today. :XD:

Our missions team gets together and prays for clues from God, and we write those clues down and use them to find the people God wants us to reach out to that day. We might be given words or pictures about a location, a person's appearance, something someone needs prayer for, or even something completely random (like Fin from Adventure Time, for example). I haven't always had treasure hunts where I find this many of my clues, but more often than not, God uses these things to really give somebody something they need through us, and it's totally fulfilling. :) I love this stuff.
